Contact printing enables patterning of a surface through use of a transfer template, simplifying pattern transfer and eliminating the use of more complicated photolithographic techniques. The following papers discuss the use of contact printing as a precursor for a number of applications, including surface adhesion processes, molecular self-assembly, and fabrication of sensors, micro-devices and micro-arrays.
