Category: Surface Wettability
The wettability of a surface may be modified through plasma treatment with the appropriate gas(es) to render a surface hydrophilic or hydrophobic. The following papers discuss process techniques to modify the surface energy and thus the wettability of polymer, inorganic and biomaterial surfaces, and their effect on adhesion and interactions with other surfaces.
